We advocate for effective governmental policies that will promote participatory democratic ideals, better representation, and distributional equity, so as to advance the five focal areas of BEDF at the individual, community and national levels.

We continually ask whether governmental policies are promoting or retarding progress in our five areas of focus and make policy proposals to inform public policy decisions.
Promote BEDF’s mission through meaningful public-private partnerships
We believe that government efforts alone cannot achieve a balanced, sustainable development for the individual, community or nation. This will require a synergistic partnership between public and private sectors. Consequently, we look to philanthropy to help advance the developmental aspirations of underserved and under-resourced population.
